H. Josh Garza, Chief Executive Officer

H. Josh Garza is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GAW High-Speed Internet Inc and Optima Computers, the business from which GAW was born.
Josh formed Optima Computers in 2002 with the mission of providing residents and businesses in Southern Vermont with a local and complete solution to all their technology needs. Mr. Garza is credited with guiding Optima through its formative years and overseeing the expansion of the company and its service offerings while remaining true to the original vision.
Through the dedicated effort of Josh and his colleagues, GAW High-Speed Internet has grown to become one of the largest technology-based companies in New England. Josh continues to plan for the continued development of the GAW family of services within New England. He is credited with the current pending patents the company has submitted for review at this time.
Josh is continually looking for ways to use technology to enhance the quality of life for New Englanders, helping to harness the power of technology while maintaining the integrity of the area's natural resources and assets. Josh lives in Massachusetts with his wife Jessica, their two sons and the company’s mascot, Intel.
Bob Merola, Outside Plant Manager
Bob has been with GAW High-Speed Internet for more than a year serving as Outside Plant Manager. Bob brings more than 28 years of technical expertise to his role at GAW. His career began in the United States Air Force stationed at the Lowry Air Force Base in Colorado training for more than 3,000 hours in everything from soldering techniques for NASA to microwave, electronics and avionics where he spent of a majority of that time. Bob has served in various leadership roles, leveraging his training to specialize in the management and development of wireless networks throughout the US having experience with virtually every type of wireless technology from nearly every manufacturer. Bob has overseen projects including those for Sprint, the Democratic National Convention in Boston and Homeland Security and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
Bob attended the University System of New Hampshire. He and his wife Cathy have five children and live in Massachusetts. During his free time, Bob is competitive in soccer, basketball and volleyball.
David Dwyer, Sales & Customer Manager
Dave Dwyer serves as the Sales & Customer Care Manager for GAW High-Speed Internet. Dave came to the GAW High-Speed Internet family in early 2008, initially as the General Manager of Optima Computers, formerly a subsidiary of GAW. Dave performed many roles at Optima Computers, serving Southern Vermont's computer and technology needs, as well as implementing Brattleboro's first and only free community WiFi initiative. As Sales & Customer Care Manager at GAW High-Speed Internet, Dave has been instrumental in helping GAW grow it's customer base as well as achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
A graduate of Lyndon State College in Lyndonville Vermont with a degree in Business Administration, Dave's experience in sales and customer care come from a career history within the sporting and automotive industries. Dave served during his college years as a VSAC youth mentor for Vermont students interested in college and college programs, and is currently a member of the F & AM.
Dave currently resides in southern Vermont with his fiance Donna, and his three daughters. Dave is active within his children's school programs, often chaperoning outdoor programs and activities. Dave and Donna plan to marry sometime in late 2011.
Nick Huanca, Inside Plant Manager
Nick Huanca is Inside Plant Mangler of GAW High-Speed Internet Inc. Nick began his career in 2002 as co-founder of Optima Computers with Josh Garza. He served as lead computer technician, becoming its Chief Technology Office and through the years has lead the development of the company’s internal network infrastructure, designing and implementing the company's first dial-up Internet service offering and developing the model for the original GAW wireless Internet network. Nick manages the day-to-day technical operations of the GAW High-Speed Internet, ensuring that all internal operations of the high-speed network, including the company's digital phone service perform optimally delivering a reliable online experience for users of the GAW High-Speed network. He also provides oversight of WiFi networks often found at campsites around New England.
During his free time, Nick enjoys playing soccer, being outdoors and sharing his passion for technology, but most often can be found figuring out ways to improve the online experience for all GAW subscribers.
